Help! sony ericcson k750i bluetooth connection to iBook G4 keeps failing.

I know this is strictly an indulgant leisure-time topic but thats exactly when its SO FRUSTRATING that something simple doesn't work. ARGH!
I've installed a HID file from afterglow's exceptionally useful How_to_make_your_mac_a_blutooth_zombie blog posting on this site. All went well, and the K750i asks if I want to use the remote now. I press OK but, instead of remote viewing pleasure, the message 'Bluetooth connection failed. Check settings etc' appears. My iBook is in range, visible, and bluetooth is on.
Whats going on? Is it something stupidly simple? I hope so, but I suspect its something to do with the what my ibook expects my phone to be capable of.
Any help deeply appreciated, I will bless you whenever I watch a DVD, when im not eating popcorn or shifting my lardyass to more ergonomic positions on sofa.

That's exactly the same problem i have. I use a PB12" and a K750i
But the problem is the same - everything is working fine, iSync, Data-Sync .... But when i try to use the Remote-Feature i have the same problems like jamie!
i hope anyone can help?
