How to edit pdf files which does not have embedded font
bhardwajsudhir (6 pencils) | Wed, 2011-11-23 05:00Hi,
Request help to edit pdf files in which the font is not embedded. Acrobat does not allow to edit the file because of unavailability of the font.
I am comfortable if existing font of the file is required to be changed.

Shouldn't you be able to replace the font or install the font?

Acrobat always warns you if you don't have the fonts but it should let you substitute a font. Always works for me. If for some reason it won't, use Illustrator or pre-press software to edit.
Thanks for your help. Acrobat does not allow me any edit in absence of the font. Is there a way where I can replace the font for complete document.
If Acrobat (Pro, hopefully) refuses to do what you want, you need to use another program. Illustrator and Pitstop are two I know of that let you edit PDFs usually without messing up the formatting.
You can do this if you have licence version of Acrobat writer.
Acrobat is superb if you have problem then just uninstall it and then again install it...
