Well, if you are working on a Macintosh, just get information on the file (Command-i), and it will tell you the colorspace. If you are on windows, go out and buy a Macintosh and get information on the file (Command-i), and it will tell you the colorspace.
Just kiddin. I am not sure how you would do it on windows, but someone else may have a suggestion.
if you have windows you can ask your friend who has a Mac to solve it for you. We're very helpful people. ;)
Paint on PC. Seashore or Preview on Mac.

You could just drop the image into InDesign, and the swatches used will appear in the swatches pallette - rgb or cmyk.
