How to be a better client.

Nice one. Thank you!
Now, how do you make your client read this?
Include the information in your sales presentation and contract. Preferrably not in a Powerpoint presentation. :) We designers tend to be a bit quiet about the business side of things and then wonder why clients don't understand our processes.

NB, I love it when you stick to that anti-PowerPoint theme. Cranks up your cred something fierce ;-)
Thanks for passing this along. I used to have a similar info piece that I gave to clients about printers -- there's one in my town that I simply will NOT deal with, but sometimes, clients know them and want me to work with them. I have to explain why I insist on choosing the right printer for their job, without trashing the home-town printer. Your post reminds me to dig that up again...

Thanks!
I'm reading a book called "Perfect Pitch" by Jon Steel that is further confirming my distaste for Powerpoint and what it represents; the dumbing down of public speaking and, really, communication. :)

. . . even though it still applies, were I am we are a long ways away from teaching clients about the web. . . we are still trying to get them to do it properly for print! lol

The same techniques apply, I think.
