how to unprotect itunes songs?

Inconvenience with iTunes music and video:

1. you paid for iTunes songs and video and want to use it for your enjoyment. BUT there still some problems with iTunes music and video:
2. you can't play them outside of the iTunes environment, on hardware not supported by Apple, or on operating systems not supported by iTunes,
3. you can't copy them to your non-iPod portable music player,
4. if you have several computes and want to take your music library from one computer to another there'll no such possibility,
5. you can't do backup copy of your music library to protect yourself from hard drive failure
6. music is DRM protected. DRM (Digital Rights Management) was created by digital media publishers so they could control the duplication and dissemination of their content. But DRM is actually a misnomer. DRM actually restricts the consumer from doing perfectly valid and reasonable things with music you own.

There is informative guide: how we can unprotect iTunes songs: --- deleted spam link ---

Just in case you missed it, iTunes doesn't sell DRM-restricted songs anymore... And for all the songs you already have that do contain DRM restrictions, you can simply burn an audio disc and re-import into iTunes as an MP3.
