Hybrid DVD

I want to put my web site onto a dvd so Mac and PC people can both view it.

Also on the dvd would be 5 music cd's that people could listen to by putting

intop a dvd player or computer. Is this possible?

Any help would be appreciated much,

Cj

I believe Macromedia Director is the app you are looking for to get your presentation together. Or just load all the files to a disc and let people download them as they wish.

However, be aware it's illegal to distribute music that isn't in the public domain.

Thanks, but Director is over my head.

Actually I am not that far along in the project. First I have to find out about burning a disk that both Mac adn Pc's can read. Can anyone give me advice about that...then will ask further questions as I go. Would one version of the site be enough since it is in html and flash format, or would the site have to be loaded on different partitions on the dvd...ie. the mac side and the pc side...if such would have to exist....I don't even know that yet.

Thanks,

cj

There isn't anything tricky about burning a cd that can be read on mac and pc. I am sure you will find it in the preferences of whatever you are using to burn the disc. It might even be the default. It would help us help you if you would tell us what system you are working on and what program you are using to burn the discs.

One version of the site should work. You only have one version when you host it on the internet, right? There shouldn't be a mac version and a pc version of a website, so you should be ok.

Except if you burn the web files on a mac you end up with two directory forks. Reading it on a pc then creates two files for that one, renames them, and generally foobarrs your website files.

Do it on a pc if you can or in Parallels/Bootcamp/XP.
