I need ideas to help design........
Mszorro (8 pencils) | Tue, 2010-07-27 07:04a complimentary slip for my hubby who's been baking for the past year.
His birthday is coming up and I was thinking of printing complimentary stick-ons whenever he gives his bakes to neighbors, friends, relatives etc... It's not a business; just a fun-bake hobby.
He calls himself 'closet baker' and that name stuck with him since Day 1.
I was thinking of a std notepad size complimentary slip with the image of a baker peeking out from a closet on the left accompanied with the words "Compliments from... ...the Closet Baker" next to the image.
Gosh, i lack the creative juice and any help/ideas/samples from you guys will me much much appreciated,.
Thank you.

oops, I missed out the fonts....I think they are important but with so many types out there, its just too mind-boggling.
I came up with something simple like this
You're almost there. Just be aware with regards to the 'closet' motif that no word is inherently meaningful. Rather a word is only a "signifier," i.e. the representation of something, and it must be combined in the brain with the "signified," or the thing itself, in order to form a meaning-imbued "sign." Hope this helps. Oh, and change the font to comic sans which will make the layout ping.

One of our board members (can't remember who) has the tagline "Powerpoint is not a design application" (paraphrasing) on his posts. I would suggest you take that advice to heart because when you show up at the printer - they might not be able to use a powerpoint file.
JMHO.
ok noted. thanks for the pointers. :) hope that closet-fella will like it.
Thanks you for the post.
