I need your help writing a post

I don't know if you mind me to ask, but I'm working on a post about the top 10 mistakes a designer should avoid.

Such as:

1. Bad image compression: http://www.peta.org/feat/jennaethan/

Do you have any rants on this subject?

Well... a classic is always, make sure you outline fonts (or include them in your document). If you don't, you don't know how your design will turn out at the printers.

other that I've made are:

- make sure your using CMYK when your supposed to and RGP when your supposed to. Related is also making sure your working your piece in the right color settings, for the paper you are printing on. ie. newspaper colorsettings are very different from your standard A4 photocopy paper.

- bleeding. it's always sad to see something that is supposed to bleed the page, have a white border. no printer is perfect.

- one mistake that I haven't been cought at, but saw in one of my local newspapers the other day. The designer was obviously trying to choose beetween 3 pictures to use for an article, so he placed them all on the opposite page. Then picked one out and used it, but forgot to delete the other two, so when the paper was printed, the other page had a full size ad from an airline company, with 2 pictures of some guy placed smack in the middle of it. Bottom line... remember to clean up your mess before you hand in your work.

My freshly learned one:

- Never think that you are smarter than the Client!
