I think this works
Ruthy (159 pencils) | Thu, 2009-09-10 10:23I think this works. The coloured blocks are similiar to and color picked from the test result sheet the client is given about foods they can and cannot eat.
The little bounce in the 'O' gives the logo movement and indicates vitality which is key in the company's mission statement.
what do you think?

I think it is far and away better than your last one, however I also believe you're not done either. One issue would be the multiple colors - this is a logo that will be hard to reproduce without all the colors available.
Is the "T" capitalized in the actual compnay name, or is that part of your design? Just wondering...
As always, begin your renderings on the sketch pad and your initial electronic presentations in black and white. It helps to bring the logo to its most simplistic and basic form.
And although this logo is better than the first one presented, it still does not say food to me...it reminds me of CBC on the telly at 3:45 am. ;)

I kind of like the idea of the knockout letters on colored boxes, however, like 3dogmama, I don't get anything about food from the logo. I see either a print company, or maybe even a photography studio. I also noticed that you left about 1 pixel of space between the boxes. What does that do to make the design better?
One thing that I learned about design, ESPECIALLY with a logo, is never mix upper and lower case letters when creating a logo. It just looks juvenile and I guarantee that people will ask you why you did that. Fooden it up a little bit! Don't be afraid!
