I have a 160min video in iMovie and i was hoping to make a DVD from it with iDVD, but it tells me the max length of the movie it supports is 90min. Is there a way around this problem?

What version are you running? My understanding is that when they went from iDVD '03 to '04, they upped the limit from 90 min to 2 hours. It may just be a matter of an upgrade.
