iLife 08
ghyslain (55 pencils) | Thu, 2007-08-09 14:54After seeing what was available in the new and updated iLife 08 bundle if was excited with one feature that iWeb offered: the Photo Album feature.
Anybody here tried publishing to a web server other than .Mac? Where all the features available when pages were published to a non .Mac web server?
Thanks,
g

It's great.
You create albums that you fill with pics and them you can set the title image for that album to skim on mouseover. You can also have it static or use other transitions.
It took me 5 minutes to work it out but as far as I can tell it will only work on an ALBUM page rather than a photo page, as a photo page is effectively a lightbox for you to view the images where as the album page is the sort of contents and categorisation of all your files.
It works way easier if you start learning iPhoto 08 first in my opinion as I got a bit confused a few times but like I say, it was a five minute job:
Create a new Album page
Create a new Photo page
Drag photos from a folder, iPhoto, Lightroom etc on to the photo page and then they will be skim-able on the album page.
You can also have multiple album pages etc as before.
I used iWeb to cheat a lot of bits to save time with sites I built before, but I think I actually almost now prefer it to Dreamweaver.
