Illustrator CS2 shortcuts
Dyf (15 points) | Fri, 2006-04-14 17:08I have recently started using illustrator, to begin with the apple key worked fine for shortcuts, but aftere a while IT stopped working.I have tried deleting the prefrences but this hasn't worked. Anyone got any idea how to fix this as it is slightly annoying.
THANKS

Try this: According to Adobe's knowledgebase, keyboard shortcuts don't work in Adobe Illustrator when the U.S. Extended keyboard layout is selected in System Preferences. (Odd problem!)
The fix: Install the Illustrator CS2 12.01 update if you are running CS2. Or go into System Preferences under the International Settings tab and select the standard US (Roman) keyboard. Make sure U.S. Extended is not the one selected.

I've FIGURED IT OUT THAT #$%^@! I WAS TRYING TO FIGURE THIS OUT ALL DAY YESTERDAY BUT THIS MORNING IT HIT ME!! I was reading all kinds of forums and people kept mentioning that it was MS Entourage and I DONT USE THAT dumb MS Entourage crap, so then i was like i has to be something running in the background so when i checked my system preferences i noticed that i had
"X-HUB"
always running in the back ground for the past 4 days since i've DL'ed it. Went over to the program and shut it off and Voila! my shortcuts are BACK!!
Basically what i'm saying to do guys is find out what you downloaded recently OR what is possibly running in the background and turn off what MIGHT be the culprit. Look in Activity monitor and OR preferences panes.. Later guys thanks for reading and look for me on X-BOX live or PS3 online... Xboxlive - Tonedef live OR PS3 Online Tonedef_LIVE
A good permissions repair and restart might also resolve this.
Hey CreativeTech, love your blog/webpage! I've learned a ton from it and am glad to see you here.
