Maybe it's not a smart question... but could you please tell me: is any shortcut (or quick method) which can help me to center object... (One object not related to the other one.... just one object... )
Somebody told me that Corel has shortcut for it; "P"
How it works in illustrator?
thank you
This is what I do...
Assuming you know the dimensions of your artboard (let's say it is 8.5x x 11y), go to the transform palette. Your x, y coordinates should be set to the bottom left hand corner of your document (assuming you haven't changed them).
Then, just plug in half of each number. So, x= 4.25, y=5.5
yes, I know about that:) But
yes, I know about that:)
But I was thinking about shortcut...
thank you anyway:)
Align to artbord
In the align pallette click the show options triangle.
Choose align to artboard > then click center horizontal then click center vertical. Is this method any easier?

Thank you so much to both of you!
:):)
Now I just need to create my own shortcut:)))
Real Shorcut
If you want a REAL SHORCUT to center something in the Artboard, select anything, start to record an action, center horiznotally and vertically in the artboard and stop recording. Then, add a key combination to the action, something like Shift-F3, and that will be your shorcut.
