Illustrator to Word problems.

Hey all.

My client wants to have his Illustrator CS created letterhead available in Word. This is proving to be a nightmare on its own because the resolution bites if I insert a PDF or EPS file into Word. How do you get around this? I used Illustrator CS on my Mac to create the letterhead and I can't create a .wmf file. I saw a post in the archives saying a PNG format helps with resolution. Does this work for vector files, too?

The other problem I'm having is creating outlines of text in Illustrator. I'm using small fonts and when I create the outline the text looks fuzzy. Instead of having the transparent outline of the original text it seems as though it's become opaque. What have I done wrong? I don't recall having this problem the last time. What can I do to correct this other than loading the font onto every computer that opens the file?

Thank you very much!

Leigh.

You can't save an Illustrator file as a .wmf file, but you can export it by going to File->Export and choosing .wmf

Or just save the template as a .jpg file for Word to import.

As for the font outlining, it could be possible you're using a font that won't allow you to outline it; it's a protected font.
