This is supposed to be an example of an impossible illusion (e.g. the two columns that end up looking like 3 columns at the bottom)
So tell me if this is just too jarring to be taken as anything other than a mistake in perspective.

Too jarring
Don't think it will work in black and white. Remove the grays and see if it works. Can you flesh out the brief a little bit for us?

i think the darker reds are throwing it off, you have a fair amount of contrast on the yellows but the reds appear only a few shades apart . other than that the color samp looks good, and the same problem on the darker gray it's fighting the black- kudos though
