Indesign-Overprinting in a Haze?
tsmalldon (45 pencils) | Thu, 2007-03-01 18:03Hey Guys,
Hope someone can answer this question. It seems that in my indesign documents if I add 100%K black and set it to overprint (as per indesign default) the resulting PDF looks hazy.
However if I change the 100% K to 20% Cyan and 100% K, the resulting PDF is crystal clear.
It seems overprinting of black is adding a haze to my pdf documents.
Any idea what this is or how to fix it?
Thanks
Trevor

Does this haze occur when you try to print out the document or just when you view?
Sometimes pdfs show artifacts onscreen that don't print to paper.

Took the file to a local print shop, They say its perfectly fine. Must be my monitor on the fritz, 17" Acer, Always had a row of dead pixels, but seems like the entire thing is now having glitches.
Weird.
Thanks for the help
