Indiana State Cup Champions Logo/Graphic
funkdesign (19 points) | Tue, 2007-08-28 21:00This is a logo/graphic design for a T-shirt for the Indiana State Cup Champions to wear at the regional Tournaments opening ceremonies. The design went on red T-shirts. I tried to do a European style soccer club design. Since it was more of a graphic I choose to put a "celtic" style background. It was well received by the IYS (Indiana Youth Soccer) and the teams that wore the shirts. I designed about 10 different looks, took them out to ask youth soccer clubs their thoughts and they all liked this one. Can't change it now, just wanted some feedback from some professional. Thanks

It doesn't appear celtic at all to me. The design behind the crest is completely in a "tribal" style. Compare a google search for "tribal" and "celtic".
I would definitely simplify. All of the black tribal designs in the background crowd the design for me. I would also suggest moving the crest up, so it's not touching the borders of the title.

Perfectly Lost Designs
...your apostrophe is wrong -- this common problem is caused by applications that presume you mean to open a quotation, or internal quotation. When your intention is an apostrophe at the beginning of a word, you need to type two and delete the first one.
Back in the day, there used to be a keystroke that Mac people could use (PC-ers has to type in some kind of non-intuitive code) to force the proper mark on the first try. Oh well!

Independent of the artwork for now, you should save the image as a PNG or GIF for a cripser appearance instead of JPG.

it's only cause it's too wide for the CB posts, no matter what format it would wind up looking pixelated.

powerful logo for soccer especially for younger audience, i get it totally. but i have to agree with seraphim about background VS foreground. i would use monotone for the background, like different levels of red.
I like that idea.
