Jobs introducing the Think Different campaign in 1997
Ivan | Wed, 2010-10-20 13:48On this video Steve Jobs telling us how simple brands really need to be and introduces the now famous Think Different campaign.
The video is old, but the key message is timeless. It's not about what the product or service does. It's all about what it means.

Clearly the strategy payed off as the Apple is now considered to be one of the coolest brands. It is ranked No. 3 on Lovemarks and ranks high in many other charts.
Thanks to the inspiration room for the posters collage.

Intelligent, progressive and a little arrogant, I like it ;-)
And yes that campaign was so smart but the milk example he uses can be applied to Apple as well.

Seems like yesterday. I have Picasso (the striped shirt photo), Cesar Chavez and another one (can't remember who) in the small size. Then I have Ansel Adams and Rosa Parks (the only full color poster in the series) in the large format. Maria Callas is the one I want.
If they are sooooo cool, why are we selling more crap?

I agree with you Jack. Intelligent, progressive and a little arrogant. I am an avid apple user!! Anyway, Steve Jobs recently participated in an Apple earnings press conference. Taking a detour from humdrum details like Apple Inc. stock and sales, Jobs let loose a barrage directed at Android and RIM (Blackberry). He stated that Apple sells much more of the iPhone than the competition, and that the software is generally much better. An Apple event is scheduled soon, called “Back to the Mac” That event will likely be about pending Mac computers from Apple.
He was right about Android!
