Photoshop: From Ho-hum to Wow!
You can use Photoshop to bring out the magic of photos that are muddy, soft, or blandly composed.

Cool eye candy. Great execution. Great advertisement and promotional work.
Now the logo mark reminds me of HAL (version 2.1 "Kaleidoscope") from 2001: A Space Odyssey.
I'm really looking forward to this browser on the Mac.

HAL, that's true. I hope it's not a sign! :)
personally when i first saw the logo, i thought it was weird. im not too fond of 3d logos. but i guess because its for web, then it wouldnt matter. it looks nice an all. good execution. so what is it then? a camera or something? that spies on the world for info?
Fantastic, inventive use of 3d graphics, encapsulates everything the new browser should be about. Several thoughts on my interpretation,
1. Does it represent MY EYE on the world of information?
2. Does it represent a jet engine sucking me in at great speed!!
3. And my most crucial interpretation, Is it watching me? Is everything i do being recorded?
Maybe we should just take it for what it is - a really exciting piece of graphic art and reserve judgement until we see if the browser's functionality matches the graphic expectation.

Pete, you bring up an good point.
To draw a parallel, one of the most brilliant rock albums (is it still legitimate to call music an album - maybe I'm just showing my age) is Pink Floyd "The Wall."
One of the most compelling elements of "The Wall" is its thematic fluidity and vagueness. It's open to interpretation. It means a little something different to every person, though there are core messages built into it.
I've so focused on the Google Chrome as a communications piece, I've forgotten the other side graphic communication - marketability. Fact is, if you have a bunch of creative types sitting around discussing the possible meanings of the icon, shouldn't that count as SOME degree of success (beyond technical execution)?
It makes people curious.

Somehow this video makes me uncomfortable. Is it just me?
Good Video, Made me think. Thanks
Actually that was my first thought. A kreepy gadget that bites you in the night ...
BTW: "What is a browser" - great video. Man no wonder most people still use Windows. ; )
When i have first look on it i m nt so impressed by it.But when i downloaded it and use it my thought suddenly changes. The use of 3d graphics is really appreciable and it has also make web access more easy and reliable
