Bold modern type — suggests strength. Blue is not too dark not too light striking a balance between freshness and the night sky. Blue orb abstractly represents something planetary and lines represent forward motion as well as fitting an incomplete puzzle. Overall simplistic look leaves the company room to grow in different areas.
Of the two revised logos, I prefer the one on the left. My only concern, again, would be losing the words "risk solutions" once reduced. Other than that, well done.

Number 1 is Texaco, and I agree with jHouse's comments about the dated look on the other two.
I, too, like the font on the top one, but take care with the smaller text...it will disappear when the logo is reduced.
