Internet Browsing Dilemna...
grafixforlife (227 points) | Sun, 2005-08-21 14:57I don't exactly have a problem, but I guess I would like to have posted a poll about this subject matter. Back in my PC days I found Firefox pre 1.0 and fell in love with it, so when I switched over to my new PowerBook that's the first thing I downloaded. For some reason I felt like it wasn't as quick as on my PC yet stuck with it for quite a while. Within the last few weeks I've stopped using Firefox, began using Camino (another Mozilla browser for OS X) but that's still at beta stages and right now I've changed to Safari 2.0. I'm not sure if it's just me being crazy but it seems pretty fast, perhaps faster than the others. What's everyone else's surfing/browser experience? Anything cool I should know about this spiffy new Safari build?

I primarily use safari 2.0 for browsing and then I've got a few browsers for testing, IE/camino/FFX/Shira/Opera/Omniweb, and then I use Site Vista for testing on PC. Safari has a lot to offer, and there are sites like Pimp My Safari which makes using Safari even more fun.

Thanks for the link, I think I'll be sticking with this for a while.

Since enabling plugins and java on NetNewsWire I do most of my surfin through it's WebKit browser. Nice and lean and if I need more involved bookmark stuff I pop over to Safari. 90% of my surfing is directly from RSS feeds so why leave my RSS program. Can even post to CB from it.
