This application alone justifies an iPad.

Love it, now if only someone would build an app and a stylus that let you use the iPad as a Wacom tablet. I'd buy one tomorrow.

Good idea :)

looks good for iPad than on iPhone.
for iPhone I recommend "inkness", it draws a pen on your thumb touch place.

the frames make the things easy too.

yes I'm brazilian xD

I love it. The Autodesk for ipad looks excellent. In general the ipad is amazing, but I think it is too big/heavy and I can't see myself going to bed to read a book with an ipad. btw, I couldn't see this video, because youtube is blocked at my workplace, so I had to use a youtube unblocker to see it... and it was worth it.

I went out on a limb and bought it right after I got my iPad …haven't had all that much time to play with it yet, but it's easy to use and feature rich. (Even exports to layered PSD)

Definitely worth the $7.99 I paid for it!

Exports a layered PSD? Impressive ... anyone want to loan me 500 bucks?

That was going to be my question - what does it exports. The videos always have wow factor - the question is can you use the tools on a professional level? I'd say yes if you can export to psd. Now I'm interested in the iPad when previously I only cared how it affected my Apple stock.

Even better than AutoSketch, try Abode Ideas. Some of the too outls aren't as versatile, but it outputs illustrator editable PDFs, easily sent via email.

I went to try out the iPad at my local Apple store. I asked about drawing apps and spoke with a designer who worked at the store. He showed me booth apps as well as the pogo. I see huge potential for the iPad as a creative tool. I often sketch on paper and then scan the drawing and recreate in Illustrator. This could be a whole new way of worki ng.

I also have a lot more interest in developing skills using a tool from Adobe, Ideas is currently free so give it a try. It's definitely not all it could be, but it is an interesting first effort from Adobe.

i'd be curious to see some of that at real speed and see how easy it is to switch tools and change settings. it doesn't look that painful at super-high-speed, but what's it like in real time? how fine a line can you draw with a finger and how accurate can you be?

like art said, demo videos are usually full of the "wow" factor, but what's it perform like in real life?

Looks like a rendition of the Brushes app, in ways, on the iPhone / iPod. I bought that a while ago and have yet to get very used to it. Even invested in a POGO because I felt like I had sausage fingers when I was trying to draw with just my fingertips.

I echo ItalianMike - set up the iPad so it functions like a Wacom Cintiq and maybe I'd buy into it. ;)

I still have yet to see anything that screams "MUST HAVE" in regards to the iPad.

Just this app alone justifies buying an iPad? Yeah right...lol. Try waiting till they ad USB ports and SD slot. Have you guys seen the adapters they created for these things?
