Since I refuse to pay AT&T's obscene prices, I don't have an iPhone ;)

Hopefully Apple will stop this silly practice to lock you in with a provider.
But that is the other side of the cheap spectrum

Total cost of ownership is still WAY TOO HIGH. Would love to have an iPhone, but I'd rather buy food for my kids first.

I've had friends purchase "unlocked" iPhones off of ebay. If you can get an "unlocked" one, you can use it on any wireless network you prefer - just make sure that wireless network supports internet whatevermabobstuff (you can tell I know a little about using the web on a mobile device... I'm still on my Motorola Razr!)
Well if it has Flash support then that is a deal breaker for me. We should be helping to wean the World off of Flash :)
Seriously I hope to see it have longer battery life. My iPhone will generally last all day as long as I am not using too much GPS and other apps that drain the battery fast.
Greater RAM is probably certain and is certainly welcome.
Video would be nice and have its uses beyond just fun though it would not replace my camcorder no more than the iPhone's built-in camera has totally replaced my camera. That being said I am taking more photos when just out and about because I can do it with my iPhone, so maybe it would be the same with the video feature.
As a multimedia developer I really can't stand with iPhone. When you can't get anything with its full Maya(functionality) & have to update it version after version for everything every single month, what of use... Rather Blackberry give me more what I need most on my move as a Businessman. And for the 'Touch' part I will prefer something else... ;)
I will be waiting for iPhone 10.0

It's the same over here in the UK, I'm not willing to move over to O2 from Orange just to get an iPhone.
Why on earth did Apple have to pick such silly service providers to tie into? From what I can gather, AT&T are just as much a waste of time as O2 are here in the UK.

...or at least as I've been told, AT&T apparently has very good coverage in the southern U.S.
Up here in the north, not so much.
Frankly, I could just do without the entire CONTRACT concept. Seems to be going in that direction, slowly, languidly.

When is the IPhone OS 3 software going to be available on iTunes for the general public? I really do want the cut & paste feature.
