Keeping my Mac in tip top condition

48.5 GB have been used out of 186.0 GB. I've noticed it's running a little bit slower, and websites are taking a tad bit longer to load up.
Any tips or advice on keeping my Mac running like new?
empty your cache in your web
empty your cache in your web browser, quit
Go to disk utilities and repair permissions
empty your trash
restart your computer
future:
force quit classic if you're not using it
turn off auto load apps if you don't use them all the time
don't keep 5 billion things on your desktop-- that's what folders are for
1. Get an external hard
1. Get an external hard drive.
2. Get OnyX and run the cron scripts and automated tasks
3. Move all user fonts out of library and system fonts folders. Keep required fonts there. Let FontExplorer do this for you.
