Event logo proposal for Kick For Crohn's & Colitis. Is an open competition for a real world client between myself and my classmates.
I don't think this logo needs much explanation, it's pretty simple. I tried to keep it modern looking.

i think the K is really close to the edge of the b lack box thiny. It would have been cool if you made the soccer ball look like a C or somethingg or K. Wats the significance of the 4 that you have to color it?
If you're going with an alternate colour for the "4", why not select a more pointed numeral and tuck it right up in the last "K"?
The tiny text you will lose when this mark is reduced. Enlarge plus reduce the kerning, even if it means ceding some real estate to the KICK 4. At the moment, it's kind of coming across as a radio station mark.
I like the negative portrayal of the soccer ball in the green. However, it is difficult at first glance to make it out as a piece of sports equipment. So as not to destroy this look you could try rounding out the bottom left-hand corner of the box...?
And now, for something totally from the edge: Have the last K kicking the 4 so that the 4 ends up on an angle and partially out of the black bounding box.

It looks more like a logo for a company specializing in crohns and colitis. As in they make it. As in it doesn't look like it's for an event.

I've taken all your changes into account, and came up with a very different logo. Unfortunately I won't be able to post it according to my schools rules :(
