Las Vegas Strip Kiosk Logo - low budget quickie
This logo is going to be on business cards and t-shirts for employees only, who sell handbags and jewelry. The kiosk itself already has a generic sign with this name. This client has 2 other strip kiosks, one sells sunglasses and uses the name brand of the glasses it sells currently. the other sells candy and the logo is a brown oval with the words "Strip Candy" in pink.
The first is just a font, mostly because I like the font but couldnt come up with anything to add.
#2 is goin for the "show girl" look
#3 is a stylized handbag for the s,
and #4 could be jewelry or the chain of a handbag.
Im trying to keep this quick and simple, and would like some suggestions to narrow these down or improve on before I present these to client and earn my $100. lol

I think #2 is closest, but
I think #2 is closest, but it needs to be seriously glitzed up to really work.

thanks...
but its hard to "glitz" in black n white ;)
Ill see what else I can do.
That's why you're a d e s i
That's why you're a d e s i g n e r. :)
I'm talking about more flourish, detail, ornamentation specifically.

ok, i glitzed, i dont know why i cant find how to upload another picture without reposting, dyou know?
i like the idea of what
i like the idea of what you're doing with #3, but i don't think it's quite obvious enough. especially for the type of clientèle your client is going after. they're more 2x4 upside the head buyers than subtle.
2 For Now, But Perhaps 4 reworked
I think #2 is the most effective, however, if you integrated your text a bit better into a chainlink, strap, etc. I think that #4 could do it.

that could work...
maybe ill keep that up my sleeve, incase I can talk them into going a little further with their budget....
I found your 4th too Gucci,
I found your 4th too Gucci, and I'm torn between your top one and the third. However, with the top one, I would bastardize the font and have some fun with the two"Ss", the "V" and the descender of the "g". Perhaps add one set of the stylized feathers from logo 2.

So I did a little more work and sent it to the customer...
her reply:
"Hi Leslie!
All very cool and creative logos! Since the handbags and jewelry are hip, modern, and sophisticated can you do something similiar to what Coach has???"
really? yeah i coulda done that to start with and saved myself a lot of trouble!
sigh.
Such is the client-creative
Such is the client-creative relationship
It's a wonder she didn't
It's a wonder she didn't give you this direction during your creative brief. Oh well, at least the upside is that you now know what she likes and you can go more the way of COACH's styling.
