i will soon be opening an advertising and consultancy firm with some of the people i have earlier worked with! though i am not from the design field, but the guy who will be working as the graphic designer with us, has submitted the following two symbol options for my firm "SyncBrains Communications". As i would like to know your opinion about the symbol, i am submitting them here, do give honest feedback!

i quite like the 2nd one
Good but not easily understandable. I don't think they are simple even if the vectors look simple.
I like the first one the best, it has a dynamic shape and feel to it. It looks like a foorball though.

Why not have the designer sign in here and ask us to critique his work? We have said to others, so I feel it's important to say it to you, that we don't feel comfortable giving criticism to a designer who has not asked us for it. I think it's really kind of sneaky of you to be doing this. Don't you think it's violation of your partner's trust? If you can't confront him directly about your concerns, what does that say about the chances for your success as a team, going forward? Sheesh.

I really like the shape of the second one, but I'm not at all sure what it's trying to say. Also, it's hard to critique a logo that is missing a part of it.
synchronisation is what we have tried to show here! mara! i appreciate what you have said! but our graphic designer is not in the town right now. it was, infact, he, was the one who asked me to ask you people about the design. The final one will remain incomplete till he comes back!
