It's a good and functional logo as it is, but I encourage you to develop it further. If I may add, I would try the "c" letter's lower part to be more in harmony or more in contrast with the 3 preceding crescents.
When you say a University's coral, is that a choir? What is the significance of the crescent shapes? Do they represent sound reverberating? If so I think maybe you could find another way to signify that idea. As it is now, to me it looks like one of many logos incorporating a swoosh or semi-elipse shapes. I like the idea of using repetition, I just don't think it's working here.

..."coral" is just one "r" away from a fenced yard for horses. The curved shapes could be perceived as symbolic of sound, which helped me figure out what you meant. The sound would be broadcasting from, rather than trying to enclose the name of the group. Good start.
