You have a lot of directions to pick from which is good.
I like what you have in B 2, 3, 7, and 8. Specifically B 3. I think what you need to do with that one, though, its remove the box in the background, make the tagline line up with the "linebeyond, inc." so that the space around the ">" isn't being interrupted. Play around with that idea some more, I think.
I also like C 1, and D 2 (but the tagline text in that one is probably too small to work).
The type of swish you have like in A 1 is way too common, don't use it.
Be careful with that tagline text. It looks really bad in the logos where you have it overlapping the company name.
I think it's C1 all the way. That's the one that stands out to me.
I'm not sure of the tracking of some of the others. I also prefer that bold type especially when compared to the other.
I agree about keeping the tagline away from the name.
Any ideas? Any thoughts.
There are substantial challenges in desiging a logo with a tagline. Any tips and suggestions?
Appreciate all the comments and help!

Yeah that tagline is a challenge, that's why I didn't have any suggestions in my critique. As for C1, I think you have it placed well, it just depends on how large it will be printed. Any smaller than you have in there and it will become unreadable (i.e. it won't work on a business card). On a website, it would probably work.
...be sure to add some space between the Beyond, Inc. At least in versions where you are using a comma. It can be a half space if you want.
For the most part I am partial to C1, however, I think the placement of your line needs some work. It feels very haphazard and altogether unpolished. Though I do think there could be something interesting there.
A different typeface perhaps? I dunno. Looking forward to seeing the next round of revisions.
I like C1 too.
However, make sure you create a logo/icon that is separate from the type. See Adobe Systems and Nike for examples of this. I figure if you can create a favicon for a browser using the logo/icon then you can scale up from there and you're set.
