Logo for a Fusion Restaurant
RohanJM (103 pencils) | Fri, 2010-05-07 06:02Hi all,
Im working on a logo for a fusion restaurant, I tried to make a pure typographic logo. while incorporating some quirks.
Heres a small description from the client
With its fusion style of cooking “XANADU” a stylish, rustic urban brasserie creates the perfect ambiance for converging with new friends or to just be in solitude, while the sun sets on the bustling metropolitan the aura of verve and panache is illuminated over the beats of the modern jazz embracing soul and joie de vivre.
The menu has a vast selection of Starters, Main courses and Afters (desserts), that is sure to be something to tempt even the most fastidious palates. The Cold Counter houses a variety of cheese, breads and cold desserts specially meant for the Speedy Gonzalez of today. Drinks include an array of Latin blends and mojitos, frozen beverages, a specialty “Martini Flight”, champagne cocktails, classic and contemporary cocktails and an impressive collection of wines and liqueurs.
The subtle interiors complete with distinctive art work placed around the brasserie, mismatched furniture, crockery, cutlery and glassware will give a semblance, whirling the guests immediately into our version of Oz. Xanadu ,along with its gastronomic and beverage experience offers a platform to artists to display and sell their works of art along with providing employment opportunities to retired and working professionals to share their vocational secrets and create a pathway to imbibe these secrets into a better lifestyle in order to master the art of living well.

living on dreams and custard creams.
Keywords picked up from your blurb:-
fusion, rustic, urban, verve, panache, contemporary, subtle, mismatched. (aren't rustic and urban a contradiction?)
This logo reflects none of these. The typeface is horrible, the colourscheme uninspired, the embellishments totally out of place and redundant.
Sounds like a nice place, it needs a logo that reflects that.
Back to the drawing board.

Not feeling it either and that flourish on the far right looks like a comma.
Reboot imho.

the x and u do not come across - if I hadn't read your intro I would not have understood the name clearly, needs some color (red?) for an urban feel, its too rusticy/ country
I read it "anady" @_@~ do you have another option?
will work for fun :))
