logo for impression.....

hi im sethu....a new member of creativebits... im working in an agency called origami creative concepts , bangalore, india... here i send one logo option for the company named impression...they r providing interior design materials to the interior design companies...its a dubai based client... unfortunatly they don hav a written brief...they jus told wat they r doing dats all.....here i need critique for this logo....it wil help me to think better....

agreed on impact, find something a bit more elegant and modern than clunky.

even at full size, the letter I disappears. both of them. your balance is completely off. the stroke weight and color on the rest of the letters overwhelms the pale fill you have on the letter I. plus the stroke weight is so heavy it's starting to overlap itself in places and looks like it's choking the letters.

the pattern you have for the letter I, i presume that is to represent wallpaper or something like that? without a creative brief of some sort, how can you be sure that pattern represents the interior designer's style?

honestly, it looks like you had a very general concept and slapped it together. it's not very coherent or thought out.

Idea- Very Nice idea.
Design- Work on It. The pokadots need some work. The colors are not so good. Ditch the rest of the font though. It is horrible.
Otherwise, keep going.
