Logo improvement

Hello to all,
I'm a creative bits reader for some time, but have never submitted a file to the critique area.
I'm trying to improve the logo my company chose from my sketches. It was not my favorite but it can be improved a bit.
I would like to ask your contribution on the ways I can improve it. Please in this first stage, I would like to ask your focus on the "f" and "o" joint, which one you prefer. I prefer the first one, but I would like to hear other opinions.
Thanks in advance. :)

Solid
I think it is a successful logo in terms of presence and clarity. I prefer the first one for the joint part.
Nice one.
Number one
I like no. 1.
The gaps, though, are inconsistent. Can you make all gaps the same width?

Thx. Which of the gaps?
Thanks for your comments, which gaps? "D" relative to "O" or the space between "D" and "ifo" relative to the "O" gap?
All
ALL gaps in the letters (the one in the D, etc.). Right now anywhere there's a break in a solid letterform, they aren't consistent with each other. The gaps in the 'D' and 'O' in particular.
The easiest fix would be to raise the bar in the D up to the height of the second bar on the 'F', if that makes sense.

nice
I really like the mark, very strong and solid, I like the first one much better, I agree with the gaps suggestion by natobasso.
One thing I would work on, is the i and f transition. It somehow looks different than the rest. (maybe it's just me)
Great work!!
The 'i'
The 'i' does seem weak (too thin) in comparison to the other three letterforms. In font design you have to remember history: Consistency is king. Imagine you are going to letterset these bits of type on a press and you have to tool the steel by hand. :)

I'm going with number 1 as
I'm going with number 1 as well. I like it very much. Especially where the F & O connect - that little point just makes it very special in my opinion. I do think the gap in the d could be closed up a bit just to make it consistent.
It's nice to see good work :) Please please please keep posting stuff
life is great; without it, you'd be dead.

Nice work!
Trim the flared point off of the arm (where 'f' and 'o' meet) of the 'f' in version 1 and its finished! The point is a bit sharp in relation to the rest of the logo. Just go straight up from the vertical center of the 'o' shape and trim the flared point off. It should meld the two letters together nicely.
Wish I knew how to post a quick jpeg to illustrate... It's simpler than it sounds.
image post
Just post an a href link to your image; the image has to be hosted on your website or flickr or something like that.

Thx. New variants soon...
Thanks very much for your input, soon I will post some variants of the logo according your suggestion.
Take care.
New file attached - critique2.jpg
Hi all,
I've followed your suggestion and came up with 6 new versions of the logo.
My favorite is number 2 (on critique2.jpg file - attached).
The "squared" connection between F and O, looks odd to me. Maybe it's just my eyes :)
What do you think?
Thanks in advance.
Take care.
I like
#6. Can you make the 'i' just a little bit wider? Gets lost among the other letters.
