Logo integration
seeker (23 pencils) | Mon, 2006-09-04 23:01I was thinking about some of the comments that were said in my previous submission about integrating the logo into the name. I didn't really like having the logo loose so I started putting the text and logo in random positions and this is the result.

I think, overall, it works well.
Some issues I have: it looks like it should be datd point... the font is pretty bad, that "a" bothers me something crazy... and i think over all it would read more seemlessly, if you made the black a grey, because right now i see "point" first.

The only gripe I have with the logo is although when looking at the logo for the first time I do see it as "data point', straight after that my eye sees it as a 'd' instead of an 'a'. The typeface you used is also giving me a bit of a hard time on the 'a' it almosts looks like a capital G.
Going to second what dpc suggests about the grey instead of the black, that would improve this as 'point' is a bit too heavy in black and steals the focus.
Overall though, I like it too and think you're pretty close to nailing it.
