I was trying to think of a place for some honest answers...and immediately thought of everyone here :-)
The attached are some concept logos for a technology company. The existing logo/mark is at the bottom of the image set. They would like to have a more compact logo, and loose the orange color. They suggested retaining the existing blue, and adding a green color to the mix.
While they have been very excited over the top line of graphics, I am not. Frankly, I feel they lack polish.
The story behind the mark is to retain the existing or similar looking N, as they have branded items with the N only in the past. The "international" would be converted to a lowercase i, and placed either behind or in front of the N. The i is meant to mimic a person, showing that Newmarket is a technology company, focused on the people side of the business. Their target market is the hospitality sector.
Newmarket International is a technology company that builds solutions for the hospitality industry. They produce the industry standard in Events and Catering software, along with multiple other solutions including Customer Relationship Management, Hotel Service Order Optimization, Market Intelligence Software and more.
Primary target market is the hospitality sector including hotels, resorts, restaurants, event venues, sporting complexes, etc.
The lowercase i also lends itself for easy animation opportunities to have it be a "mascot" or representative.
Let it rip guys!
