Why octagons? What's the concept?
Above the typography you can see the roof shape.
two octogans denote the roof tiles shape
Even though you'd lose the 'roof shape' at the bottom, i say lose one of the octagons and just have the 1 centralised.
I agree with loosing one of the octagons. Having two made me think partners, or vision or duplication. I get the "s" shape in the middle. I think the colors are good clean colors and the typography is fine.
I am struggling with the octagon shape though. It seems to over power the name of the company and doesn't read "roof". Maybe, if you made them smaller and overlapped a few to make a pattern like roofing? Or what if you did rectangles in some cool geometric shape that resemble roofing tiles?
Just some thoughts

it's seems me like a boring ying & yang or martial arts school theme or yasmin tea bag logo.
sorry but I.H.A.
yes I'm brazilian xD
The object is just overpowering the text and is too distracting. Also the negitive space isn't very effective because im distracted by the objects and the space inside them.
God no.

nope. this isn't working for me at all.
Just look at the proportions, the cheap colours, the lack of direction. Look at other logos. See why yours isn't working. Start over.
living on dreams and custard creams.
Are you a real graphic designer? This is your third attempt. The first was bad, The second attempt was a step further in the wrong direction. This attempt is a cry of desperation.
Get a designer who has vision and imagination.
NOTHING says roofing. My initial reaction was big floppy boobs ensconced in a harlequin corset. I.H.A.T. (sorry)

if you are a beginner and have no idea for a complex logo... try to think "simple" but objective. =D please don't create strange shapes like alien eggs or klingon spaceships.
don't expect to create a world champion on every of your little creatures, just put love, wings on and allow them to fly away from your desk with grace.
print it light green and silver BOTH REFLECTIVE on a white Ford Transit sides; make embroidered logo on dark blue uniforms, and you will look for a little pretty roofing company =D
I think we, designers, can save the visual world against natural disasters xD
yes I'm brazilian xD
Check it if you like it,

Thanks!

Abandon the funky shapes and focus on a nice type treatment... OR - hire a designer.
I get it:
Your all in the same design class with the same lesson, please tell us if you are.. It would make it so much nicer.. and ranamaju, please stop! :P
Bof, if he wants to go and do the work for everybody, that's his prerogative. He isn't helping them in any way at all, but at least he's making improvements we would never see otherwise by the original poster.

@Bureauplus
Yes! I've post a visual, at-least, which I found appropriate to do here. What you did for him... not even a single line regarding the design. It is not a design class and I know where 'word' will help it.
If all of you think I did wrong, I will delete the post.
Thanks!

I think you can do that if you want, but I don't think you're really helping them. Just my humble opinion.

Or even better, if you show him your example, tell him *why* you choose to do things that way, why you chose those shapes, fonts, colours...

If its not a design class?... How in the world could there be 3 different people making a logo for STYLO ROOFING in the last weeks?
-edit- Sorry 2, Oh, I get it, they are from the same city in India..
I just believe its not nessesery to post a remake of someone else his design, let them do the work. As said before on this site: Mostly they won't exept your design (even if its way better) because: They didn't make it them selves..
Never show them how its done. show them the rules.
Now something on the design itself: Show me the briefing, then I can see if you are in the right direction.
Please use your WORDs carefully.
We are here not to disgrace each other.
Thanks!
