A few logos for a campaigns class I have. We were to create our own agencies and develop an identity. Let me know what you think!

Are you misspelling synergy on purpose? Cann you explain the concept behind that, please?
Mara
Hi Mara,
I apologize, I should have stated my concept. I wanted to emphasize the advertising. I was hoping that the misspelling might spark some curiosity and help individuals remember the brand.
Ryan T. Battishill
the first logo is better than others..
I don't see an emphasis on advertising, other than that "advertising" starts with an A. Sorry, but this does nothing for me. It would be different if SYN and RGY both had their own meanings that advertising (or this particular agency) could unite to create some third new meaning, just by adding the A. Without that, the agency name, and any logo representing it, is meaningless. Now if you want to work with a company called Synergy Advertising, you might be able to come up with something exciting.
Mara
Maybe its just not exciting enough, and I should take it back to the drawing board. Our agency name is Synergy Advertising, and maybe that not coming off clear enough. Thanks for your thoughts! I will rework a few more ideas.

I HATE the word synergy... it a foolish corporate fuzzy word.. it just annoys me.. but really this has nothing to do with your design.. just a rant on the word..
sorry
Ha I'm glad someone else thinks this so. I hate the word synergy! I could give so many reasons, but I think this article pretty much sums it up.

One more question- The company's name is actually Synergy Advertising? Can you elaborate a bit more on the 'A' then? Or how one would draw that connection through these logos? Not trying to bash, but hoping to gather some additional info and possibly provide some ideas.
Thanks for that link, Ben. I've bookmarked the whole blog for later.

On this "site" (I say that because the "site" is TERRIBLE! lol but the logo is not too bad.

bleh. i think it looks like a big blue turd or chunk of intestine with a yellow glow. i can't see how it would make anyone think of "synergy" or "TV" at all.
I was being diplomatic!

I don't think calling attention to a brand name with a misspelling is a good idea. Usually it just looks bad, like all the 'Werks' companies out there: Designwerks, Ironwerks, etc. Yuk!
The logo is nice, and it's clean -- I pick #3. Though why is 'advertising' so small? Seems an important part of the brand name so it should be larger.

First off the type is working. But, there is way to much going on with this logo in every single version. I would take a single element and work with that or make it a strong wordmark.
Thanks for all the comments and thoughts! It is for a group, and I was out numbered on the name selection. Synergy is very corporate and cliche, but I had no choice and ran with it. I wanted to get away from it being so traditional, so I threw in the misspelling and worked in some simple shapes. I do appreciate all the feedback, and will defiantly be taking everything into consideration.

Why not blend the two words? SYNERGYADVERTISING, yet separate words via colour usage and/or font boldness and/or upper and lower casing of one of the words.
Continue along the clean lines in text selection, but alter the colours: try the word SYNERGY in a deeper grey and ADVERTISING in a lively red? Corporate yet infused with some life.
ttfn!
