Looking for a Light CMS
Makote (15 pencils) | Thu, 2006-06-29 02:28hi guys, well im in the process of puting something up on my website, designing for myself is like the hardest part of the job.
So, ive decided to rest a little on the big flash, uber php, video mega hiper super subtle, minimal site for a while. (one which is allways in progress and never gets us happy) and add something to the domain that has been sitting there lonely for almost a year.
So basically what im looking for is a simple CMS bloglike if you like to call it which lets me present image galleries and content. The feature im looking for the most is something that lets me have total control on how it looks im willing to let some features go if im able to control what graphically displays on the site, Ive tried joomla but it seems to complicated, and almost not what im looking for, its too big of a page to be updated hourly or daily, with graphic content and changing the frontpage would be a hell of a job.
Well ill be glad if i could be pointed to more simple customizable little widgets or cms, or blogs or idk.
Thanx all.

I love wordpress i am with it all the way, its a blogging CMS but the blog can just be some sort of regular content to the homepage! See mine not saying its a good example but its an example. www.mattdaveydesign.com

at www.jdempsey.com - Wordpress is very customizable if you know CSS. If not, then don't even attempt using it. You can also install Gallery to get the image galleries.
Why not do just straight HTML if a blog isn't really what you want?
