Anyone else going to Mac Expo this year?
Im going to be booking my tickets soon whilst they're still half price, but was wondering if there were any other cb members going, and if anyone is going to be attending the Macworld conference ?

Wll I'm just packing for the Paris Expo so depending on how that goes, I might add a few more tour dates;). Spent four days online trying to find a single cheap hotel room. Was about to pack my sleeping bag when I managed to find a hotel on the same street as the convention centre.
The sessions look a bit more interesting than the line up for Paris and the registration price is very reasonable..

Is the mac expo & macworld conference the same show ? The one that used to be held in Angel ?
I just had a look at the two 'streams', the designer stream looks good if you are into that sort of thing, however the OS X tiger stream looked a bit lame....
'How to use iPhoto and an introduction to Spotlight'.
I went to the show in Angel last year and the only thing I got was a dud 1GB memory chip.

I went to a couple of the Mac Expo things but never really got anything out of it. Gone are the days when you can pick up a real bargain and I can't see anything that would interest a pro user?
On the flip side though, it is easy to justify going to your boss and turns into a day off work where you get to geek out for the day. Just make sure you pick up a few useful brochures about incredible improvements in efficiency when using some shite workflow app and half heartedly try and sell it in when you get back ;)
