Attach secrets to Keychain

If you want to keep all your passwords, credit card numbers, serial numbers and other confidential information securely in one place on your Mac, you can use the Keychain to hold them for you. Open Keychain Access under Applications /Utilities. In the toolbar you will find the Note icon. Click it and enter your secrets.
Next time you open Keychain Access only the Name of the Note item will be shown, the content of it will not, until you click Show note and enter your user password. Obviously, whoever has access to your user password will be able to read your notes.
If you want to secure your notes with a password other than your user password, you will need to create a new Keychain by pressing Apple-Alt-N (Cmd-Option-N) and enter your Notes in this newly created Keychain.

I've thought about using this too, but it doesn't contain an easy search feature. If it did, that would probably be the only program I would use to store secure information. Until then, I'll keep using MacVault 2.
Love the Keychain-- been using it since OS 9...
So does anybody have any idea how to get all the stuff in my OS 9 keychain moved over to my OS X keychain???
I tried export, import, open, move and rename... no luck.
It's going to be a pain to open each item, copy the info, type the master password, copy the info.......
Anyone?
Jon, I felt the same when using KeyChain, I figured out this features is coming in the next major release of Mac OS X.
While waiting for it you can use Notational Velocity which stores everything on a secure file and has an automatic save "à la Palm OS".
