creativebits dashboard widget

Creativebits widget gives you several different RSS feeds. You can define if you want to see the blog feed, the forum, the critique or the weblink feeds just by flipping the widget and selecting your preference.

Thanks Jammo and Mackie for creating this cool Dashboard Widget.

Great work guys!
In version 2.0 we might get to see a nice custom scrollbar as well?

I'd like to be able to read a blurb if i hover a title.

perhaps we need to start a thread for v.2, what people want etc... ideally i'd like a scrollbar / images for crit / show comments / possibly post topics and comments / and also have a drop down for blogs, each time a new blogger is enabled they get added to the list...

i would also like a bit of animation on there... *been inspired by the widget machine*

This widget looks really sharp! Good job to all involved.

The only thing for me is, it's not displaying anything. I flipped it over, selected what feed I wanted, flipped it back over, click the CB logo, and waited.

I waited and gave it over 20 minutes, but no feeds ever showed up ?? (I'm using 56k if that helps, and no other pages or downloads were loading at this time)

I was curious too, and opened up other widgets that need a net connection, such as Weather, and they worked fine.

iBook G4 running 10.4.2.

Doesn't work for me either.. 10.4.2 & broadband connection.. The rest work. The interface looks great though!

I don't know what the problem can be...it works for me under 56K. Perhaps you don't allow it access to the net? Perhaps your net settings block widgets?

I have an idea for v2 of the widget. A little button which takes you to the add crit/forum page. I woke up around 2 in the morning...I think I dreamed the idea. :) We need to have a Javascript that changes the link depending on the feed. Another thing would be a blank to put your name in and then it would only show the forum/crit ones that you replied to or started. But that would need a feed for the tracker which we odn't have...drupal dudes, help!??
