Here's a small tip concerning shortcuts in the finder..
As you probably know there is a sidebar filled with shortcuts that you easily can drag folders/apps to and with one click reach them.. After a while you probably get a longer list there and you'll want to access certain folders/apps really fast..
As default there is no icon icon (above the file window..)
Here's the trick.. You can easily drag more shortcuts easily by just dragging them there and place them just next to the icon and voilá it's there and you'll have fast access to it with just a click.. To remove the icons just hold down cmd and drag it away from there..

Good post
Looking at your icons, a few are unfamiliar. Whats with the yellow submarine, and also, do you like AppZapper?
The icons..
Who know's.. By pressing the yellow submarine you might enter the future.. (Especially CB's..) Yes I like AppZapper, I think it's a small nifty little app.. Who knows I might write an article about it later on :) Yourself?
I just downloaded it
I say its a pretty cool app. I like the fact I don't have to go look for the plist, plus sometimes it uses some other file I would never have thought to delete. Also, there is something cathartic about the little flash and bang it makes when you do zap something. Much cooler than a simple delete.
cool but
You didnt mention that you need to hold down cmd then drag. I figured it out though. :)
Adding an icon
You don't need to hold down CMD, when your'e adding a icon.. It's just when your'e removing an icon that you need to hold down CMD.. It says so in the article..
It works for me to add a icon if you hold down the mouse button and adds it there..
Adding an icon
Weird, I have to hold down cmd as well. Doesn't work for me just holding down mouse and dragging.
Very cool tip though. I immediately added Adobe Bridge to the top to make it easier to switch back and forth between the finder and Bridge. I frequently am looking for a file using finder and realize Bridge's previews would make it easier. Now only if it launched Bridge to the same folder that I was browsing in finder.
I think I know why some of you need to hold down CMD
I'll bet you guys are trying to drag icons from the Dock rather than the actual application icons via the Finder.
