Mac OS X Intel

With all the commotion in the release of the new Mac hardware, I had two questions about Mac OS X, so far:
- Did Apple install any ROM in the new hardware for Mac OS X to access, or is it all software based?
- Will Mac OS X run on Pentium based PC hardware, or is a Mac required?
I guess what I have in mind is to try Mac OS X on an Intel Pentium or Xeon based workstation.. Any idea?
Thanks,
Waleed
With time this will all be
With time this will all be possible I'm sure. Apple will not support it, but won't do anything against it either.
It´s possible
Mac OS X 10.4.4 runs natively on Intel Chips, actualy, the whole keynote presentation of Steve Jobs was running on a Pentium 4 at 3.6 Ghz. I dont know if you need some tweaks or hacks, but it's possible.

other way around
The general consensus is that you will be able to run Windows and OSX on Apple hardware. You will not be able to run OSX on generic PC hardware.
