Mac Pro

Apple have launched their pre succesor to the Powermac G5 now.. As predicted by many they've chosen to call it "Mac Pro". It's built inside the same alu enclosure case from Powermac G5 but it's refined with better storage possibilites and you now can order it with two optical superdrives in the front and added some more ports to the front. But the biggest change is inside the case as Phil Schiller said when annoucing the Mac Pro on WWDC's keynote..

Apple offers one standard configuration, then you can build your own configuration with more storage or more memory and you can choose the speed of the processors between dual 2.66 ghz upto dual 3.0 ghz. I guess Steve got his 3 ghz machine after all!
Personally I think this machine is really cool although I wonder how hot and noisy it is compared to the Powermac G5.. When shipped with Leopard it would be a totally nice setup, perhaps also with new range of cinema displays with built in iSight, I missed that announcement on WWDC but anyway.. [B]I want one![/B
