MacBook Pro: Distorted video or no video.

Apparently its a problem with the graphics processor (NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT), that comes with the MacBook Pro.
Apple is offering repairs free of charge or refunds (in certain cases), even if your mac is out of warranty.
So, if your MacBook Pro is exhibiting any of the symptoms, go to an Apple Retail Store, for evaluation.

I had a friend who had the same problem. The display just died suddenly.
