I made this today and was wondering if it is better than the one which is already uploaded for Macsolutions. Pointers please, especially on the colours. Tom
Hey Tom, thanks for posting! The colors aren't as strong as your first option you showed, but if you are reworking your logo, make sure you don't use ANY colors. Can you repost with just the logo in black and not on a background?
I always harp on this: Color distracts you from really dealing with the logotype and icon so that 1. they work together well and 2. they will work on any medium and communicate well.
Try 45 degree angling all the graphics to the left of the text so as to return you to the programming "C" of your first logo treatment. This "C", however, will have more of a modern, geometric feel to it.
Also, once angled, play around with sizing between the two elements. Try making the block of graphics the same height as the name, etc.
Colours--go with Nato's suggestion of black only to make sure it works.
Not sure about the colors
I think you're not using the right colours.
Your logo doesn't tell me " IT ". It tells me "furniture store".
I liked the first one better.
Yeah...
The colors are like... I didn't feel like mixing to get a color lets just use yellow and cyan.
And it does look like a building.
I would say try to play off of the Mac Logo... maybe an Apple core or something interesting.
And definitely some better colors. Maybe Mac colors or perhaps the color or feel of micro chips, sdram etc..
No colors

So What Your Saying is...
The Solution to a MAC's problems is WINDOWS?
LOL...
plus the box over the "M"
is a slightly different width than the M itself, and it's just an awkward relationship. looks like a mistake.
not really sure what the icon is supposed to be. 4 small squares inside a larger hollow square. what's that supposed to communicate to me?
