magazine cover for local church
hey there
i'm currently working on the CD for a local church as a part of a contest. the green one on the left side should be the logotype, and the whole thing should be the cover for the church's mailing magazine.
The priest of the church is kinda crazy and very often in the media, and he wanted a modern look.
What do you think? can you read what the logotype says, although you probably don't understand?

I really like this. I'm not sure what language..looks like German, but yea it might be worth revealing all the copy / logo. You could come up with some other device to keep the angles looking nice. 45° line or something similar.

St Jakob and the date are both legible (obviously), but the rest of the copy may need to be shifted up ever so slightly just to confirm that the beginning letters are "P"s.
Overall, I like this piece.

You have to show your P's
You have to show your P's, but otherwise nice work. It might distract, but you could try having them merge slightly with the sky if you didn't want to move them up?

Yes, Show the P's. Move the cloud away from the word "Rockt". White font w/ the white cloud washes out. Maybe move the cloud to the top and show the P's overlapping into them. I would put a grey outline on the white text, or a faint drop shadow. Good Luck!
