Major blackout in the whole country
Ivan | Mon, 2004-08-23 09:24It's been three hours, that the whole country of Bahrain is without power. I'm using my laptop to connect to the net with my dial-up connection. WiFi is down, DSL modem is down. But most importantly the AC is down and it's 43C outside. The house is getting really hot now. Few more hours and people will start getting heat strokes. :(

the net is faster than ever. i guess i'm the one of the ten people who use the whole bandwidth of the local ISP. :)
i only have like 70 minutes left on my PB. After that I'll start reading a book! :) until the sun goes down. :(
the only three operating fuel stations are completely dead locked. we are running out of water. using wet towels to keep ourselves cool. the mobile network is giving a busy sign. people on the streets try to cool themselves down in their cars. the whole country is on forced vacation. :)
30 mins left in my PB.
jeez man, that sounds really bad, hopefully you will get power soon.
thanks man! it's ok now, after 8 hours. couldn't even go the pool, 'cos it's like 40C. :)
Makes me wonder if it's not so bad to live in rainy Belgium...
It could have made a funny blog entry: diary of a dying PB battery by overheated blogger...

Belgium IS sweet. Be glad you live there :)
Have you been to our small kingdom?
It's sure that there must no be that many breweries in Barhain ;)
