Marriott Evolution logo

I just got approved by Marriott in Quito-Ecuador (where I am from) to design a logo for their Evolution Club. They had a pretty insipid logo made with the shape of the hotel building (attached). I offered them the chance to have a more seductive signature with intense color and something that would look more clean in the over all context. With the finalist above I tried to portray comfort, and seduction on an evolving E that could look elegant and somewhat sharp. Fire your comments colleagues.

Good job. Nice clean logo. I think the "e" can also be used as a standalone shape. Maybe it will grow out to become their Nike Swoosh :)

That old logo really was insipid... this new one is great! Nothing to critique about it, you've nailed it.
Dont get me wrong here, I think the logo looks great, but...... I was wondering if the proportions of the "e" could be more refined. The swirl just seems a little bulky in places and wimpy in others.
Thanks for all the comments. Berry14, you are right. It has been really hard to try to draw a perfect shape. I used several ellipses and even tried the swirl distortion (illustrator). The distortion didn't give me the shape I wanted so I ended up using ellipses. The negative space was also challenging with this technique. I am hoping that with an hour or two of work I can get a perfect one.
