Marry Caribbean Logo

Hi,
I made this logo for a client. It's already been done and selected. In fact I already made an ad with it. But I was wondering if anyone had any kerning a placement suggestions. It was really hard because I feel that "Marry" is such a lopsided word, that it set the whole thing weird.
Does this logo feel balanced?

I don't like this logo. It's
I don't like this logo. It's too generic. There is nothing to remember about it.
You should bring Caribbean in on the right to end at the foot of the Y.
Probably because you used all uppercase lettering
If you only made Caribbean uppercase, and Marry lowercase, the tail from the capital Rs is what's making it unbalanced. Even if you did kern them correctly.
I agree with Ivan, however. I am not liking the gradient coloring going on in the lettering and to me, the magenta and blue doesn't go well together—they don't complement each other.
I hate to say since you have already implemented this logo into their ad(s) and it's been finalized, but I would have suggested you start over, as it's too generic. Nothing special about it at all.
Oh well, I guess if the client is happy....

See this. Done that. . .
Every Marriage magazine to advertise Caribbean destinations look like this. . .
Being FROM the Caribbean this font is VERY boring. . . Is this how people see us? as boring. . . then we're doing something wrong!!

One of my favourite uncles
One of my favourite uncles is from Trinidad and his family is anything but boring. The font I would use for Trinnies would run more along the lines of Meta Plus Bold Italic. :)

My uncle's mom has been at
My uncle's mom has been at us to come to Trinidad for Carnival. She promised to paint my husband's body for it. I think I'd sign up just to see that happen! :)

Awesome site
My girlfriend keeps asking me about the culture in Trinidad and I always had a hard time explaining it to her, showed her that site, along with listening to some Machel Montano, Mighty Sparrow and some Destra amongst others and she's getting the feel for it! I shot myself in the foot now cause she expects me to cook some shark and bake for her now! Gonna have to call up my mom for some recipes...
The funniest thing...
Hah haa. I'm also from the Caribbean.
The funniest thing that you guys all hit on the exact things the client wanted. Al the things you she specifically asked for.
• All caps
• The color of hibiscus and blue
• Simple clean fonts like Times New Roman that reminds her of a magazine.
Thanks Ivan for the spacing suggestion.
Here it is in situ the website I am making.
P.S. The client is my mom.
You haven't been home in a while huh?
Its pretty! nuptial kids would LOVE it. . .
but it looks like every wedding site to me. . .
And its NOT very user friendly. . . take a page from the advice of Jakob Neilsen:

BTW Is Trini on that list?!

agreed, it's tremendously
agreed, it's tremendously bland. it has no life, no character. if you're going to go pure text with no mark, the last thing you should do is use faces that are generic, boring, and stale. baskerville isn't quite as bad as TNR, but we're talking one shade of gray here. even looking at it on the web site, i wouldn't expect that is the logo. it looks like a headline or something. it totally blends into the page.
as the designer, you should steer them from making choices that don't fit their business (even if it's your mom).
btw, i think your top right navigation is overwhelming the page and has far too much prominence.
O man
I guess I need to go back to the drawing board. Since I got all negative reviews.
Unfortunately time is a major factor in this project. And we need to come in way under a normal web budget for hours.
For more insight into the project. Here is the current site that exists...
