Media Asset Management

So I was just cruising Apple.com's "New Arrivals" page and found this: Media Board One.

I was talking with a friend about making something like this for the OO community a while back, and I think I recall some people here talking about it. Looks like someone beat us, and is making some money off of it too.

I know this is going to be a HUGE sector in the next few years as more and more people are having to keep track of more and more media files from their nifty digicams and corders. So I think I'm going to do some more research and see what else is available, and whats going to be available.

Has anyone used MediaBoard? If so, did you like it? Is it any better or worse than Adobe Bridge (specifically AB2, that shipped w/ CS2). I've only used Bridge for the past couple months, but find it pretty nice, but definitely a memory hog. Is a combination of good organizational skills, Spotlight, and iPhoto enough, or do we really need applications like this?
